No civilians were killed during the action, but the inhabitants found themselves suddenly homeless and without any means of support.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">For most of them, a period of misery and poverty began. In the end, the majority of the population chose to emigrate to areas in the valley floor such as Savassa and Forcal, or even abroad, from where they would never return. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2249083 elementor-widget-divider--view-line jltma-glass-effect-no elementor-widget
